Two day top of track package
Day One - Arrive Picton
Fernview Cottage Bed and Breakfast, is a historic villa and is only a 10 minute walk through the marina to the center of Picton. We will provide you with a information pack for your walk and will give you an indepth briefing when you arrive. If you are arriving by train or ferry we can pick you up from the terminal. Please just let us know at the time of booking.
Day Two - Ship Cove to No Road Inn Boutique Lodge
The morning will start with a filling continental breakfast before being transferred to the water taxi which will deliver you to Motuara Island bird sanctuary where you will have time to walk to the top of the island for panoramic views then transferring over to the start of the track at Ship Cove. An area of historical significance, this is where Captain Cook spent over 100 days during five separate visits.
A four to five hour walk through pristine bush with several lookout points will take you to No Road Inn. Enjoy a three course dinner and NZ wines or beer.
Day 3 - No Road Inn to Picton
Start your day with another hearty breakfast and then set off on an easy 4 hour walk around the coastline of Endeavour Inlet. Take in the stunning views, listen to the birdlife, learn about the local mining history and enjoy your picnic lunch by the waterside. At the end of your walk at Punga Cove return back to Picton onboard Beachcomber Cruises Mailboat.
Return to Fernview Cottage Bed and Breakfast.
